Mermaids and other fascinating sea-creatures

I am much more impressed with this collection than any others, from Marc Jacobs. It's not like Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 is unimpressive or anything, just not that much shock effect. Like the background. The first two is just plain, wooden, not that much fit in with the theme. But this one, the damn walls are so unicorn-like shiny and glossy, and it's basically amazing. You actually feel like you are underwater swimming with little rainbow fishies if you are watching the show live.

On the clothes, there are plenty of polka dots, latex and lace, and unsurprisingly, a more fitted silhouette. Which is contrasting against the Spring 2011 collection. Both collections are vividly colourful, and also full of surprises. I mean, seriously? Button-shaped hats?

Below is what I think of the inspiration behind this Marc Jacobs Collection:

MERMAIDS MERMAIDS MERMAIDS: At least in my world, mermaids wear skin-tight laced dress up to their ankles tails and sparkling glittery jackets.(To each its own)

And, finally: RAINBOW FISH ITSELF.

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK? LOVE OR HAVE THE FEELING TO THROW IT OUT THE WINDOW AND CUT IT UP WITH A CHAIN-SAW?

sex-up policewomen and their alter-ego(es)

You think I forget about Fashion Week? One of the most awesome thingys in the fashion industry? Puh-lease. I'm just too busy being Asian nerd-like to keep up with my blog(which reminds me, I haven't really keep up with the quality problem yet *cough*cough*)

Looking at the Louis Vuitton show, it's no suprise that Marc Jacobs come up with something like that. Hello? He put damn pandas on a shirt and sell it for $2,000? And the Chinese-themed Spring 2011 collection is kinda similiar too. Huh, so he came up with two total extremes: hard-core slutty sex-up policewomen and their day-time alter-ego(es), aka. Ms. Oh-My-I'm-Very-Fragile-I-could-seduce-you-with-my-death-stare(TA-DAA! Am I brilliant or WHAT?)

Take your pick: awesome coats with big hats, corseted and sheered dressestopped with a lot of legs; or girly dresses with puffy tomato sleeves. Not at all practical if you live in NYC, but hey since when is Louis Vuitton making so-called "practical" clothes? We got Alexander Wang and Prada for that......

The funny part is how everyone making a big deal out of Kate Moss' ass. Hey people, she's a supermodel, but she's human too and she's 37. Leave her alone already.

Be right back with my awkward fashion wisdom. MUGLER I HEART YOU.
